Founded in 2018, LaMule Cirque is a French-German company (Alsace / Baden-Württemberg) dedicated to contemporary and socially engaged circus.
Together, we've launched several social projects — including circus schools on the Greek island of Lesbos and in Blantyre, Malawi.
We are professional circus artists, graduates of ESAC (Belgium) and ACaPA (Netherlands). From 2011 to 2018, we toured across Europe with Cirque du Platzak, a music-and-circus collective we co-founded.
Now that we’re parents, we’ve turned toward creating performances for young audiences. By exploring themes we care about and want to explore with our children, we aim to reach them all.

Our Shows
INSIDE
A bridge between contemporary circus and the ancestral art of storytelling (Rapunzel). With her unique blend of aerial acrobatics, hand balancing, and fakirism, Leila delivers an absurd, thrilling, and poetic experience.
Bouteilles à la mer (F) / meer Meer MEER (D) (Creation 2025)
A free and modern adaptation of the German fairytale The Fisherman and His Wife (Brothers Grimm).
Once again, LaMule steps into the world of tales — and the questions they raise today.
In a time of waste, fast fashion, and packaging overload, this show finds a new rhythm: a subtle balance of body and sound, object manipulation, tension, and repetition. A raw, physical language to dive into a thorny topic — our endless hunger for more.

With support from Zirkus Macht Stark, Zirkus Gestaltet Vielfalt, BKJ, and others, we regularly carry out artistic and educational workshops in refugee centers across Germany.
In close collaboration with La Nef – Relais culturel de Wissembourg, more projects will be announced soon.
Stay open, stay curious!
